iGive is the original online shopping mall where a portion of each purchase benefits the shopper’s favorite cause. AmazonSmile

AmazonSmile is a simple and automatic way for you to support Forte every time you shop on Amazon, at no cost to you. When you shop at smile.amazon.com, everything is the same as shopping on Amazon.com, but with the added bonus that Amazon will donate a portion of the purchase price to Forte!  You will be using the same account on Amazon.com and AmazonSmile, so your shopping cart, Wish List, wedding/baby registry, and other account settings are also the same.

All you have to do is sign up for AmazonSmile and select Forte Animal Rescue as your charity.

Ralphs

Do you shop at Ralphs? Ralphs makes a donation to Forte Animal Rescue for every purchase you make, at no cost to you! Sign up today with your Ralphs Club card number and enter Forte’s ID number 83013 in the Community Rewards section under Account Settings.

Walk for a Dog

Install the free WalkForADog app on your smartphone, select Forte Animal Rescue as your charity of choice and start walking! For every mile you walk, Forte receives a donation. You can even use it while biking! That’s it, that’s all you have to do—just walk or run with or without a dog! The app might choose another rescue whose address is closest to yours, so please make sure to change it to Forte Animal Rescue from the “SetUp” icon at the bottom right on your app. And remember to start the app when you walk your dog (that’s the hardest part!). Hale's Rescue

If you have ever adopted a pet, Hale Pet Door will give you a 10 percent discount on your purchase. Forte Animal Rescue partnered with eCycle Group to raise funds through its environmentally conscious Recycling Fundraiser Program. Collect empty inkjet cartridges and laser cartridges from home, extended family, friends and your community, and drop them off at our adoption event.

Longtime Forte board member, Andy Pearlman, is a professional photographer on the west side, who shoots amazing photos of dogs, with and without their humans (and humans with or without their dogs!). Pet Portraits

Local artist Jutta Fischenich aka Springermom turns your favorite pet photo into an oil painting on canvas, with 20% of the proceeds going to Forte Animal Rescue. Jutta has been an animal activist all her life and a volunteer and foster mom for a number of rescues. To view her artwork on Facebook, go to her “Bijoux de Bijou” page. Grief Counseling

Marian Silverman is a Licensed Family Therapist, Educational Psychologist and an Author whose life’s work has been in the field of Education, Counseling and School Psychology. After retirement, she adopted the puppy she had longed for all her life. Marian and Holly, a registered therapy dog were the first human-canine team at the Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital of UCLA’s Medical Center. As a consultant to the People-Animal Connection Program(PAC), Marian trained volunteers using Animal-Assisted Therapy techniques appropriate for a psychiatric population. Holly was the “demo” dog for PAC until her death in 2002. Marian kindly offers bereavement counseling for Forte adopters and anyone who suffers pet loss for a donation to Forte.
